Daniel Stewart, P.E.

Daniel has been working in the public and private sectors of land development since 2006.  As a project engineer and project manager he has worked on multi-family residential, mixed use, retail, medical, industrial, municipal, and military development projects ranging in size from fractions of an acre to over 100 acres.  Daniel’s experience has led to an in-depth understanding of the many factors required for a successful development such as:

• Knowledge of the developer’s vision
• Researching municipal codes, ordinances, and regulations
• Performing due diligence and feasibility studies to detail project requirements, schedule, and extraordinary costs
• Managing the entitlement process for zoning changes, Planned Development districts, Special or Conditional Use Permits, variances through municipal hearings, Site Plan approvals, etc.
• Managing the subdivision process through platting
• Effectively communicating to resolve issues and address comments with municipal staff and other project team members
• Technical knowledge of development engineering elements such as storm water runoff, detention/retention systems, water and waste water characteristics, pavement design, etc.
• Preparing detailed construction drawings to clearly define project design and reduce change orders or scope modifications during construction
• Coordinating with construction team members to identify field issues or changes that occur from unknown circumstances and providing reviews of completed work for quality control and/or pay applications
